Vintage Iron and Traditions of Eastern Ontario has an insurance policy covering members while exhibiting at a VITEO event.
Liability Insurance Coverage Requirements
General Antique Exhibits
- the owner of exhibit must be a VITEO member in good standing
- the owner of the exhibit must be representing Vintage Iron and Traditions of Eastern Ontario
Safety First
It’s important to setup your exhibit in a manner that helps to protect both the public and your equipment.
You should always:
- use a rope or other barrier to establish boundaries around working displays
- display signage to encourage safe practices (e.g. “Please do not climb on exhibit”).
Tractor Exhibits
Tractors are covered with liability insurance:
- while on display at an exhibition
- while being driven in a parade by a VITEO member or volunteer
- while being driven to and from a parade by a VITEO member
- while plowing at a plowing match when operated by a VITEO member
Liability Requirements for Tractor Exhibits:
- driver of tractor must be a VITEO member in good standing
- tractor must be representing VITEO

Representation
All first-time new members will receive a one-time VITEO cap at time of initial registration. We encourage you to wear this cap while exhibiting indicating that you are in fact representing Vintage Iron & Traditions of Eastern Ontario.
Upon renewing your yearly membership a membership “Wallet Card” with receipt of payment will be provided. Keep a copy of the wallet card available at all times.
In the event of an accident...
- Seek medical attention
- Get name, phone number and address of injured;
- Get name, phone number and address of witnesses;
